Leveraging a lifetime of accomplishments to pour into building a personal brand requires a strong story, focus, and authenticity. Even Oprah Winfrey recast herself multiple times before sealing the globally influential brand that she is today.

In our current culture, where social media dominance is rife, creating a powerful and engaging personal brand has never been more important, especially when changing careers.

Navigating the path from modeling to acting has produced many stellar Hollywood artists including Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron, and Noémie Lenoir from France. Naomi Campbell crossed her outstanding modeling career to successes as an actress, particularly for the small screen, including roles in American horror story.

Berite Labelle, Moldovan-born actress, dancer, model and writer, is immersed in her metamorphosis from the catwalk to the sound stage. Your brand’s star is on the rise.

Reaching the stars

“I decided to make my life more challenging and interesting by becoming an actor. To build my brand, I can’t be afraid to show my life experiences and what they have taught me. As an actor, our brand is our story, ”says Berite.

Berite has transferred every strand of her modeling resume and backstory to the entertainment company that bears her name.

As a global citizen born in the small Eastern European nation, Berite spent her childhood living in different European countries with her Chadian father, who worked for the United Nations. He had to learn new languages away from his native Russian and endure settling in new schools in different countries.

He had to learn to adapt. After her father died when she was 14, her family sent her to school in France and she fell into the wrong crowd. At 17, the young woman realized that she was the only person empowered to control the narrative of her life.

“I enrolled in a three-year diploma course to study commerce and did an internship at Bucherer,” says Berite.

While working at the high-end Swiss watch and jewelery house, Berite quickly recognized the luxury lifestyle and career path she wanted for herself. Her old aspiration to become a model and actress resurfaced.

Since she was five years old, modeling had been a dream for Berite after a friend of her father’s predicted that she would become a model.

“I vividly remember my father’s colleague saying that I would become a model. When I turned six, my favorite channel was Fashion TV and I could spend hours watching it. My father even recorded it for me so that I could see some fashion shows during our different trips around the world. “

Berite’s modeling career spans over a decade representing prestigious brands such as Fabergé, Four Seasons Hotel – Geneva, the luxurious Italian lingerie brand La Perla and Bank Dukascopy in Switzerland.

According to the entrepreneur, the brand must be self-aware and compelling when developing a career in entertainment. You have to confidently reflect the different layers of your experience.

While working as a full-time model, Berite traveled to England, Paris, Los Angeles, and New York City to attend acting workshops and study theater courses. Her then-fiancé, and now husband, has long supported her in her evolution to becoming a top actress.

“I joined a theater company in Geneva when I decided to follow this path as my mission and my long-term plan. While I was at the company, I also worked hard to improve my English. “

In 2019, Berite competed at the World Performing Arts Championships in Long Beach, California, taking first place in the Speaking Model category. He subsequently studied at the New York Film Academy on a partial scholarship and completed an acting program in Los Angeles.

“Competing in the ‘Spoken Model’ category showed how much I love modeling and communicating in different languages. My professional career today is still communication. It inspires me to interact as an actor on a deep emotional level, ”says Berite. “Acting requires a high level of emotional intelligence, both artistic and business, because I am the CEO of my entertainment company.”

A recent film project saw Berite acting as two powerful historical women; The Ptolemaic Queen Cleopatra and the Victorian English writer and activist Mary Wollstonecraft. He has also been writing scripts.

“Being CEO of my company ensures that I always work on building my business and my brand. I read character scripts, work on my accents, deal with digital media, and record myself auditioning for casting. I have very little time to enjoy looking at the ocean or taking in the sights of Los Angeles. It is never easy to travel the world at all times, especially when there are loved ones left behind. My husband lives in Geneva and I live in Los Angeles, but the daily video calls help us stay connected. There is always a lot to do. I am living my dream, ”he says.

Focus on personal care

Personal care is an essential part of the Berite Labelle brand. The actor likes to dance ballet, practice yoga, and hike. She also maintains excellent sleep hygiene and a beauty regimen.

“While acting allows me to express my talent and abilities to represent the history of the world, it is always important to be a healthy and balanced person. Self-care is as important as self-esteem. When you build your routine and your knowledge to love yourself, you can love others and take better care of others without forgetting your own needs and feelings, ”he says.

To take a break from the challenge of traveling inside a character’s psyche and then shifting to the demands of running her business, the entrepreneur believes that reading for enjoyment is as essential as her twice-weekly face and hair masks. He also continues his education in the performing arts and meditates regularly.

“I’m ready to be vulnerable and share my universe in my brand as an actor and model,” says the rising star.
