New Jersey musician Pure Skies has amassed a huge following by posting covers to his social media

New Jersey singer-songwriter Jules Laozada, better known as Pure Skies, has amassed more than 60,000 followers on Instagram to date. The rise to stardom did not happen overnight, as the creative has been actively releasing song covers since 2013. Skies’ initial audience grew out of an app called “Smule Karaoke.” Initially fearful of being judged, Pure Skies released music under his alias online to avoid being recognized for his talent.

Pure Skies began posting a cover art on Soundcloud shortly after going live as an artist. He has amassed more than 3 million views to date on the platform and has started receiving invitations to perform at local shows. Most notably, Skies opened up Grammy Award-winning artist Rick Derringer and has performed at the Sound Of Brazil in New York City.

In addition to releasing music across all streaming platforms, Skies has been working hard to build his Instagram following. Lately, the artist has been releasing more live versions of popular songs. Skies recently covered Justin Bieber’s “Anyone” and Zedd’s “Happy Now”.

Skies also recently released a 10 song album called “Swimming With Dolphins” which is now available on all platforms. The release marks the first release of a long-running Pure Skies project and shows more of what he’s been working on sonically.
